- Independent Komunikator
If you intend to use Komunikator with an independent phone number, Independent Komunikator is your best solution. You can sign up to it as to any post-paid plan and use Komunikator as an independent communication device, which is not bound to your price plan. Komunikator is also available for customers of other mobile operators – you receive a SIM card for your mobile phone.
- Komunikator Rental
Rent Komunikator if you only need it for shorter periods (e.g. going on a vacation abroad). You rent Komunikator with your price plan (Insert your SIM card). Before the use, scroll the menu and choose Reset phone number. Call and text tariffs are the same as tariffs of your price plan. - Insert the USB-key into your computer and enter the PIN you have received with your Komunikator SIM card. Software is already stored on your USB key.

Tips
Komunikator is enabled by Internet connection with VoIP protocols (Voice over Internet Protocol). If you have difficulties registering, check with the Internet provider if VoIP is enabled. Difficulties usually appear with providers of publicly accessible Internet (hotels, hot-spots).

Router settings
Komunikator telephony requires two connections: for signalling transmission (SIP protocol) and for voice and video transmission (RTP protocol). For signalling purposes ports 5060 UDP, 5060 TCP and 5061 TCP must be open towards Mobitel server (address 213.229.192.32) To transmit voice and video, the computer with Komunikator on, uses randomly selected UDP port, where the connection to randomly selected UDP port server 213.229.192.32 is set up. Firewall, NAT and other security mechanisms must be set on the computer to enable outgoing communication from randomly selected UDP port. Example: If Komunikator uses port 1024 UDP to transmit voice and video, and the server 213.229.192.32 listens at port 2019 UDP, the firewall must allow connection set-up between local computer on port 1024 and 213.229.192.32 server at port 2019. At the same time, Firewall, NAT and other security mechanisms must allow, after the connection has been set up, the local computer to receive voice and video at port 1024 from port 2019, server 213.229.192.32.
Driver installation
At the first use of USB key, drivers for smart-card readers are installed on most computers. The installation procedure is simple, it only requires a few clicks.
- With Bundled 55, Super Bundled and Mega Bundled price plans, Komunikator is already included in the plan and is free of charge.
- Internet charges are not included in the tariff.
- All reductions apply (My Favourite Three Numbers, Evening and Weekend calls, bundled volumes and others).
- Calls between two Komunikators (computer to computer) are charged at the same tariff as calls into Mobitel network.
